Relationships and Sex Education
Why do we teach relationships and sex education?
At Darlinghurst we teach Relationships and Sex education (RSE) in the context of Personal, Health and Social and Economic (PHSE) education. Our RSE is delivered through the Family Planning Association (FPA) resource 'Growing up with Yasmin and Tom' as part of our PHSE programme. This covers a variety of topics including the body, (including growing up and puberty), life cycles, feelings, relationships, gender stereotypes, family life and online safety. Also keeping safe, relationships and being safe in line with the new guidance for RSE and Health Education Draft statutory guidance which is currently under consultation in Spring 2019.
